A delegation of the academicians’ home of International Academy of Ecology & Life Protection Sciences (IAELPS) visited the secretariat of ZGC Global High-Level Think Tank Alliance for exchanges and discussions

On May 10, 2024, Gu Yingying, Secretary-General of the academicians’ home of International Academy of Ecology & Life Protection Sciences (IAELPS) led the visiting delegation to the secretariat of ZGC Global High-Level Think Tank Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the Think Tank Alliance) for exchanges and discussions. Li Junkai, Secretary-General of the Think Tank Alliance and Director of the Center for International and Regional Cooperation of the BJAST, presided over the meeting. The two sides arranged discussions and exchanges on joint activities and resource sharing.

Li Junkai first welcomed the visit of the delegation of the academicians’ home of International Academy of Ecology & Life Protection Sciences (IAELPS). At the meeting, Gu Yingying introduced the basic information and work priorities of their academy. The International Academy of Ecology & Life Protection Sciences (IAELPS) is a global scientific research institution (founded in 1993) initiated by the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries and established in St. Petersburg, Russia in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1992. It aims to unite outstanding scientists, experts and professors engaged in scientific research on ecology and life, environment and construction, food and air, as well as resources and disasters in various countries to promote scientific and technological progress and maintain ecological and life safety. The two sides carried out in-depth exchanges on the sharing of ecological resources, the holding of international conferences on water resources, joint research, etc. Li Junkai hopes that the two sides can further deepen cooperation and achieve win-win cooperation through establishing professional committees and signing memorandums of cooperation.
